Hey there, I’m Shira. I’m a Registered Dietitian. I will not judge you or your food & eating habits. I am here to give you the time & space to think through your eating and make changes that will help nourish you.

How it works:

I will meet with you to learn about your health and eating habits. I use all available evidence and my clinical experience to help answer your questions. We work together to figure out how best to nourish your body given your health and lifestyle. I provide inclusive care to all people with all identities in all bodies.

Specialties:

  • Digestive health (IBS, IBD, reflux/GERD, celiac disease, SIBO, bloating, diarrhea, constipation

  • Disordered eating: If you and food aren’t good friends, I can help.

  • Women’s health: I can help with transitions like preparing for pregnancy, pregnancy, the post-partum period and menopause.

More info: My full name is Shira Hirshberg (she/her) and I am licensed in RI and MA. I did my graduate work in nutrition at URI and my clinical training at Brigham and Women’s in Boston. I’ve taught college classes, worked in gastroenterology, primary care and endocrinology clinics and am now happily focused on my private practice. I aim to provide weight-neutral care and think the BMI is trash. I have 3 fairly little kids, a 100 lb mutt and a partner at home.
